Have used the product and knew what we were getting - terrific high quality versatile training tool but were shocked by the over the top customer service and personal attention we received. Product is worth every penny but knowing you support a small business that really cares about customers makes buying here an easy choice.

I've been using the brick at Magnolia Masters swim camp, and it's a great tool for kick sets, as well as freestyle drills. It really makes you more aware of things like body position and lead-arm drop.

I am a big fan the Brick! I swam through college and was a decent kicker, and over the past few years have come back to competitive swimming. For the past year I’ve incorporated the Brick into my training, and at the age of 30 have now achieved lifetime bests in 50 Free (my best event from college) and am kicking better/stronger/faster than I ever have. There are a few things that really standout (in my opinion) about the Brick, and how it is beneficial in training. The big ones in my mind: - The Brick builds very strong wall push offs, and is applicable for any race. There is only one wall in a 50 free SCY, making that single push off pretty critical in the overall race. Training with The Brick (pushing that weighed board and accelerating off the wall) can directly help that critical portion of a 50 free, which isn’t a small percentage of the race. On the flip side a 1650 has 64 turns in it, and being slightly stronger on each of those turns has a large aggregate impact on the overall swim -It forces strong kicking with good body position. Each kick must be strong to move the Brick forward and accelerate, and due to the Brick’s close to neutral buoyancy forces good body position. In a year training with the Brick, my own 50 kick time has dropped ~3 seconds, which all feels attributed to better body position and strong kicking. -As an older swimmer, it is very important to focus on proper recovery and physical therapy. Doing a big kick set with a regular kick board always seems to cause some shoulder pain for me, which isn’t the case with The Brick. Using a regular board, arms are always pushing against the board’s buoyancy. But with the Brick and it’s near neutral buoyancy, the arms and shoulders are not pushing back against that buoyancy, and long kick sets end up being much easier on my shoulders. These are just a few things that have stood out to me about the Brick over the past year training with it. I absolutely love it, and working it into training in new and varying ways is always fun. I bought the Brick for my 11 yr old son. He loves it! He was a lazy kicker and most recently has seen some dramatic time drops after having almost a whole season without any. Since using it he dropped a full second in his 50 free and this past weekend had a 7 sec drop in 100 back. He’s only been using it since January. We bought it last year in preparation for him aging up in December. Looking forward to seeing how much this tool helps him improve every meet.

I have been using the brick in my personal workouts and also for my swimmers that I coach. It has helped tremendously with body position in the water and overall strokes have improved. I love the brick for myself and for my team. 10/10 would recommend to anyone working on stroke mechanics and posture in the water.

the Fike swim kickboard is a great addition to a swimmer's training equipment. I was surprised how much my core was involved to achieve proper body balance. Definitely gives the legs a challenging workout too! 100% worth the money.

I bought the Brick and it has been an amazing addition to our training tools at Body Zone. Now we can give our competitive swimmers another way to kick and in addition focus on body balance and control. I am hoping to buy more in the future.

I really enjoy The Brick! Although kicking is already a strong point of mine, The Brick helps me remember to use my core and even trains arm and shoulder muscles during a kick set. This is an amazing tool turning kick sets that were once easy into core and leg busters. O took up swimming a year ago and was so unfit that I did not kick at all, it was not until i joined a squad that I understood how little power i had in my kick anyway. I was also starting to get a sore lower back because my core strength was cactus I started looking for something to help improve my training in these areas and that is when I found "The Brick". in only a few short weeks I have noticed an improvement in my kicking strength. If you take your swimming seriously then you need one of these .

I bought a Brick for my two age groupers, ages 11 and 13. My 11 year old has only recently joined swim and consistent practice with the brick has her almost caught up to her peers, advancing from novice to elite in just one season. My 13 year old, a backstroker, has been swimming for 5 years. She says breastroke kicksets with the brick have dramatically helped her body positioning during competition, so much so that she was recently able to lay down a Q time in the IM. Pair these positive results with AMAZING customer service and I cannot recommend this product enough.

I absolutely agree with the other reviews, and I'd like to add an element of the business. Our order was delayed, but Mr. Fike made sure I was notified that it was delayed, he notified me when it would be delivered, he notified me that he would reimburse my shipping, and then notified me to ask if we were satisfied with our product. I love the water, and I grew up swimming competitively and swam in college. Recently, I had my shoulder surgically repaired (collateral damage from treating an autoimmune disease). I'm a professional nerd out of the water, and I researched my injury and recovery. I knew that lots of kicking would be in my future as I slowly worked my way back to being in the water, but until I read about the Brick, I had planned on kicking with my hands at my sides. I ordered the Brick the same day my doctor and PT cleared me for the pool. The Brick does keep my arms at less than 180 degrees when kicking, which is great for my personal recovery, but that’s not what makes it awesome for me and for people who don't have shoulder issues. In theory, you could put your arms in the same position by using a piece of a pool noodle or even PVC pipe while kicking, but that is a passive position. It is the weight of the Brick that is genius. I have to actively hold the Brick, which means all the muscles that support my shoulder are engaged... the entire time! My PT would be so proud of me, because she was always checking to make sure I was engaging my lats, teres major and minor, pecs, etc. Kicking with the Brick is basically kicking while holding a plank (and not a lazy plank, a legit plank), which is how everyone should be kicking, and it's awesome.

I LOVE the Brick! It has really helped me develop my kicks. I'm a triathlete and swim coach. I grew up swimming competitively mainly with breaststroke because my kick was so strong but the brick has really helped me develop my fly and free kick. My swimmers have a love/hate relationship with it but I have seen a lot of good posture improvements in the water. They fight over it every practice so we have to rotate it around! Seriously a wonderful product!
